I realise that I may be slightly biased as I work for Majestic Wine however I have to say that it offers a service second to none (well that I have found anyway).
How many retailers can you call up at 5pm with a wine urge and then less than 3 hours later have the wine sat in your own home! Now I realise that we cannot guarentee this, we do guarantee free delivery within 7 days and can deliver 7 days a week and in the evenings, but I was still rather impressed!
When working in store I was able to pick and chose my wines with ease and take them home there and then but now I am out of store, I like many others, are constricted to shopping either online, late night Thursday or at weekends with all the other poor workers. However with Majestic most stores are open 10am - 8pm Monday to Friday so saves having to choose your wine in a hurry in your lunch break. (For your exact local store opening times click here).
Majestic also offer a Gift Solutions range for those events where 12 bottles may be too many. The new addition of Cloudy Bay Sauvignon Blanc and Saintsbury Carneros Pinot Noir in single bottles standard, wooden and accessory packaging as well as six bottles in wood has proved popular and a good move for Majestic. The chance to send single bottles of Champagne is also on offer and ranges from Lanson Black Label to Dom Pérignon 2000 vintage champagne. Next day delivery is available as long as orders are processed before 10am.
