Yes you did read that, high heels but without the heels! Victoria Beckham has been seen sporting the new craze courtesy of designer Antonio Berardi, whilst promoting husband David Beckham’s signature colognes in America. She was spotted wearing what originally looked like killer wet look leggings, however on further inspection they are actually thigh high boots which have something missing! And the boots are not the only shoes that maybe missed a stage in the making, a pair of snake skin like sandals are also up for grabs for a mere $3600! Personally for that pricetag I would want the heels to go with the shoes!
The shoes are deliberately weighted in the platform base under the toe. This means that all your weight is forced forwards and then downwards so you can stand a chance at staying upright and not handing either on your face or backside. However this is not guaranteed! I would also be interested to see if this proved to be more or less painful than regular high heels!
These shoes just show how different the shoe market is now a days with people wanting more and more outragous designs! Not even Sex and the City managed to pull off something this far out for their movie and we all know that it is less about the sex and more about the shoes now a days. I think it may be a while before the mere public can get their hands on such interesting shoes, I am pretty sure Primark is not up for doing a mock pair in the near future, and by then the next craze may have hit the shoe world. I will definitely only be looking and not touching this trend, well I say this now however who knows what will happen in a few months, we might all be tottering around in these killer er heels?
