I am moving flats in a month, and although I am very excited to move to a beautiful new flat with a bath to soak my aching feet after a night of partying in heels that are too high to walk in let alone dance in, I am worried about where my shoe collection is going to live, and have an awful feeling in the pit of my tummy that I might have to (cue that scary dun dun dun music) have a cull!!!!!!
I have too many shoes, I only know that as although I live in the South my parents are still housing approximately 20 pairs in my old room back up in the North, which is 265 miles away currently! I have managed to find homes for the ones which I have down South which include some amazing heels, flats, sandals, flip flops, boots and my beautiful LK Bennetts, however that will all change when I move and this is where the worrying is setting in. How do I choose which ones to let go? I have a special relationship with them all, even those that have caused blisters no matter how many times you wear them, and making the sacrifice to say good bye is like tearing a puppy away from its mother. Okay well maybe not that bad but still its a big thing for me.
However it could mean that I can replace with those that are living in the cold North, or even replace them with new pretty ones which need a home rather than be left in a big scary shoe shop with lots of people discarding them! Hmmm maybe moving will be better than I thought after all!
