Most people wouldn’t really put superglue and shoes together but this was a must! I was off to Royal Ascot, as you do when you are in the South, and I had picked up the prettiest shoes however as they were pretty this meant they were painful, it’s the pleasure pain principal in practice! However I had come up with a plan, put so many of the fantastic heel shields, cushions and sore spot gel pads in the shoes that there could not possibly be a second of pain. Now this would have worked a treat had I got the size up from mine as with all this padding getting my feet into the shoe was now a full on mission and not an easy one at that! With the fit being so tight the spots started moving and the heel shields started twisting so I came up with the ingenious plan that I would superglue them in and there would be no movement. Thankfully my Dad has brought me up to prepare and to not superglue parts of my being to other parts or to things that I do not wish to be attached to for a very long time. This information definitely came in handy as I managed to drop one of the heel shields when trying to attach it to my shoe! I do not think it would have gone down well with the Landlord if he had half the carpet missing or a very spongy section in the middle of the room!
The plan however worked a treat, well my feet were still killing me after being on them for 10 hours straight and I have blisters on my blisters, but the method was there and more to the point the shoes were pretty and really that is the most important thing!
